The professional and amateur musicians of the Windham Orchestra present six to eight concerts annually in Brattleboro, Vermont, and surrounding towns and villages. This season they celebrate the richness of musical talent in our area with programs featuring local musicians and composers, under the banner Listen Local.
Listen Local highlights, conducted by the Windham Orchestra's new director David Runnion, include a performance of Elgar's Cello Concerto with Eric Bartlett of Marlboro, cellist with the New York Philharmonic; a performance of the Faure Requiem with the BUHS Chorus; and a concert featuring Vermont composers, including a new work by Gwyneth Walker and the world premiere of Zeke Hecker's Symphony #2. The Windham Orchestra is a program of the Brattleboro Music Center.
