A successful fundraiser at the Welcome Center

We had a very successful fundraiser Coffee Break at the I-91 Vermont Welcome Center last week. There were a ton of tourists, an ocean of tourists, fleets of flatlanders, legions of leaf-peepers. We ran out of everything by like 11:30 in the morning, emergency runs had to be made to the Price Chopper for sugar, milk, Entenmann's Chocolate Chip Cookies (2 for 1, great deal) and bread for the PB&J's.

Maggie, Chris and Mary did a great job organizing, and many orchestra members showed up, brought goodies and helped out. The biggest hit was a fine performance of a Mozart string quintet, at which time we were just mobbed.
A long line for coffee and munchies, and about 30 people standing around chewing
on said munchies and enjoying the music and the crisp weather and the Vermont leaves.

Anyway, it was a blast, thanks to everyone who pitched in, and, what you've
all been waiting for:
We brought in a total of $1,444.00!!!
